Round 14 action
Wayward Rosellas to much for Dingoes
By Daryl Pitman
An inaccurate Cheltenham eventually overcame Dingley by 17 points in a low-scoring contest at Weatherall Road.
The Rosellas gained the upper hand in the second term and despite spraying their shots at goal, were able to keep the determined Dingoes at bay for the remainder of the game.
The loss dashes Dingley’s last feint hopes of reaching the finals in their first season in the top division.
Grant Toms was in great touch for Cheltenham, as were Daniel Macklin, Mark Shalders and Brett Cuy, who maintained their intensity for four quarters.
Lee Wonnacott worked hard for the Dingoes and he was well supported by Tony Lavars and Cameron Main, while Steve Vinen and Andrew Frost were also handy.
